What filters does the APEC ROES-PH75 use?
Six stages: a 5 micron sediment filter, two 10 micron carbon blocks (all 10" × 2.5"), a 75 GPD RO membrane, a 10" inline coconut carbon post-filter and a 10" calcium carbonate pH+ filter (APEC FI-PHPLUS-QC). Our pre-filter kit covers stages 1 to 3.
What replaces the APEC FI-PHPLUS-QC alkaline filter?
The FI-PHPLUS-QC is a calcium carbonate (calcite) inline filter with quick-connects. The Omnipure K2548-JJ is a 10" × 2" calcite inline filter with ¼" quick-connects and does the same job.
How often should I change the filters on a ROES-PH75?
APEC recommends changing the sediment, carbon and pH+ filters every 6 to 12 months. Change the post-carbon about once a year. The membrane usually lasts 2 to 3 years.
Do the ROES-50 and ROES-PH75 use the same filters?
Stages 1 to 3 and the post-carbon are the same. The ROES-PH75 has a 75 GPD membrane and adds the pH+ alkaline stage. The ROES-50 uses a 50 GPD membrane and has no pH+ stage.
