RO Storage Tanks & Retention Tanks

Reverse osmosis makes water slowly, so it's stored in a pressurized tank for on-demand use; other systems use atmospheric or retention tanks for contact time and reserve. We carry RO storage tanks and larger retention/storage tanks from Watts and PAE in the capacities and fittings that fit residential and light-commercial systems.

How to choose a tank

Size the RO tank. Under-sink RO tanks run ~3–4 gallons (usable is less); larger households or coffee/ice use benefit from a bigger tank.
Check the fitting. Most RO tanks use a 1/4" NPT port with a tank ball valve — confirm before ordering.
Set the air charge. An empty RO tank has a factory air pre-charge (~7–8 PSI) — a flat tank kills production and delivery.
Retention tanks for contact. Fiberglass retention tanks give oxidizers (air, ozone, chlorine) time to react before filtration.
