Scale-Inhibitor & Polyphosphate Media
Hard water leaves scale on fixtures, heaters and appliances. Scale-control media stop it two ways: slow-dissolve polyphosphate sequesters hardness so it can't deposit, and template-assisted crystallization (TAC) media like ScaleStop convert hardness to harmless microcrystals — no salt, no backwash. We carry both in refill and bulk quantities.
How to choose scale media
Salt-free scale control. ScaleStop/TAC media prevent scale without softening (no sodium added, no regeneration) — ideal where salt isn't wanted.
Polyphosphate for cartridges. Slow-dissolve polyphosphate suits inline and cartridge scale/corrosion control on smaller flows.
Match media to the tank. TAC replacement media is sized by tank (8x44, 10x54, 12x52) in liters — match your vessel.
Not a softener. Scale media stops deposits but doesn't remove hardness from a test — set expectations accordingly.
