How to choose the right part
Know your valve. Fleck (2510, 5600, 5800, 9100), Clack WS1 and Autotrol each have their own parts — identify the valve first.
Seals & pistons wear. The piston, seal-and-spacer stack and O-rings are the usual rebuild items on a valve that won't cycle right.
Brine-draw problems. A clogged injector/screen or a bad air check is the common cause of a softener that won't draw brine.
Metering. Turbine meters and caps tell a demand valve when to regenerate — a frequent replacement.
