The Heart of Every
Water Treatment System
For more than half a century, Fleck control valves have set the benchmark for residential and commercial water softening, filtration, and conditioning. Engineered in the United States, trusted by millions of homes, and built to outlast the tanks they control.
Why Fleck Is the Most Specified Valve in the Industry
A water softener or whole house filter is only as reliable as the valve sitting on top of it. The control valve is the brain of the system — it directs service flow, times regenerations, meters water usage, draws brine, and protects the resin or media bed from breakthrough. Pentair Fleck control valves have earned their reputation as the industry standard because every component, from the glass-filled Noryl™ valve body to the time-tested piston and seal stack, is engineered for decades of continuous service.
At Isopure Water, we stock the full Fleck lineup — from the legendary 5600 mechanical timer to the modern 5800 SXT, the high-flow 2510, the digital 7000 SXT, and the workhorse 9000 / 9100 twin-tank series. Whether you're replacing a failed valve, upgrading from analog to digital, or building a new softener from the ground up, you'll find the exact configuration, voltage, drain line flow control, and meter setup you need.
Every valve we ship is a genuine Pentair Fleck product, sold by an authorized dealer, backed by the full factory warranty, and supported by our in-house water treatment specialists. How to Choose the Right Fleck Valve
Four variables decide which valve belongs on your tank. Walk through them in order and the right model becomes obvious.
Application
Softener or filter? Softeners draw brine and need a brine valve, injector, and BLFC. Whole-house filters typically only backwash. The 2510 and 5800 handle both — the 5600 is softener-focused.
Flow Rate
Match peak household demand. A 1–2 bath home runs fine on a 5600 or 5800 (15–20 GPM). 3+ baths or simultaneous showers push you toward the 7000 SXT or 2510 (up to 27 GPM).
Control Type
Mechanical timer regenerates on a schedule — simplest, fewest failure points. SXT digital meters water usage and regenerates on demand — saves up to 30% on salt and water. SE sits between.
Tank Diameter
Confirm the valve fits your tank thread (typically 2.5"–8 NPSM riser tube). Most 5600/5800/2510 valves use the standard 2.5" threaded base. Commercial 2750+ requires larger porting and matching tank threads.

Fleck Valve FAQ
What is the difference between a Fleck 5600 and a 5600 SXT?
The 5600 is a mechanical timeclock valve — it regenerates based on a fixed schedule (every 3, 5, or 7 days) regardless of how much water you've used. The 5600 SXT is the digital version of the same valve body. It includes a built-in meter that tracks gallons used and only regenerates when capacity has actually been consumed.
For most modern homes the SXT is the better choice — it typically saves 25–30% on salt and water. The mechanical 5600 wins where simplicity and zero electronics matter (cabins, off-grid, or shared rental properties).
Can I use the same Fleck valve for a softener and a backwashing filter?
Sometimes. The Fleck 2510, 5800 SXT, and 7000 SXT can be configured for either softener (5-cycle, with brine draw) or filter (3-cycle, no brine) service — the cycle is set in the programming and the valve is ordered with the correct injector/brine setup.
The classic 5600 series is built specifically for softener duty and is not recommended for standalone filter applications.
How long does a Fleck control valve last?
On clean municipal water, a properly sized Fleck valve will run 15–25 years before requiring more than routine maintenance. The body itself rarely fails — what wears is the seal & spacer stack (every 5–7 years) and the piston (every 7–10 years). Both are inexpensive and field-replaceable in under an hour with basic tools.
Are these genuine Pentair Fleck valves?
Yes. Isopure Water is an authorized Pentair Fleck reseller. Every valve ships in factory packaging with full Pentair warranty coverage. We do not stock aftermarket clones, refurbished units, or grey-market product.
Do Fleck valves come pre-programmed?
SXT digital valves ship with factory default settings that work for typical residential softener installations, but you'll need to enter your local water hardness, system capacity (in grains), and salt dose for the unit to regenerate efficiently. Programming takes about 5 minutes and is covered step-by-step in the manual.

What's the difference between the Fleck 2510 and the 5800?
Both are versatile filter/softener valves, but they target different jobs. The 2510 is the heavy-duty workhorse — bigger flow paths, up to 27 GPM service, and the muscle to backwash 14"–16" tanks loaded with dense media like Katalox Light or KDF.
The 5800 SXT is the modern compact platform — 12 VDC low-voltage, smaller footprint, easier to configure, but limited to about 16 GPM. Pick the 2510 for whole-house filtration on larger tanks; pick the 5800 for compact softeners or smaller filter installations.
Do you carry replacement parts for older Fleck valves?
Yes — including legacy 5600, 2510, 9000, 9100, and commercial 2750/2850/2900 parts. Pistons, seals & spacers, brine valves, injectors, DLFCs, BLFCs, transformers, meters, bypass kits, and o-rings are all stocked. If you can read a Fleck part number off your valve, we can almost certainly ship it.
