Product Categories
Three Housing Families for Every Application
Payne Residential Prism Series
The PPV111 platform offers versatile port configurations including NPT side ports and quick connect options with or without integrated check valves. These compact housings fit standard under-sink installations and provide reliable membrane protection for residential point-of-use systems.
PureT Double O-Ring Housing
The MH-35DW series features 90-degree port orientation and dual O-ring seals for enhanced leak prevention. Available with standard threaded connections or convenient quick connect fittings for tool-free installation, these housings deliver commercial-grade reliability in residential applications.
Stainless Steel Commercial Housing
The SSMH-2521-38 is constructed from 304 stainless steel for demanding commercial environments where corrosion resistance and high-pressure tolerance are essential. This 2.5 inch by 21 inch housing accommodates larger membranes and handles extended duty cycles with minimal maintenance requirements.
Selection Process
How to Choose the Right Membrane Housing
Identify Your Membrane Specifications
Confirm the diameter and length of your RO membrane cartridge. Standard residential membranes are 1.8 inches by 12 inches, while commercial membranes range from 2.5 to 4 inches in diameter. Match housing dimensions to your membrane size to ensure proper fit and seal integrity.
Select Connection Type and Port Orientation
Choose between NPT threaded ports for permanent installations or quick connect fittings for easier maintenance and membrane replacement. Consider port placement relative to your mounting location and whether 90-degree angled ports will improve plumbing accessibility in tight spaces.
Determine Material and Pressure Requirements
Residential applications typically use polypropylene housings rated for up to 125 PSI, which provide excellent chemical resistance and affordability. Commercial or high-pressure applications benefit from 304 stainless steel construction that withstands higher pressures and harsh water chemistry without degradation.
Installation Tip: Always lubricate O-rings with food-grade silicone grease before assembling your membrane housing. Hand-tighten the housing cap until snug, then add only one-quarter turn with a housing wrench to prevent over-torquing, which can crack the housing or deform the O-ring seal.
Leak-Proof Engineering
Multiple O-ring seals and precision-machined threads create redundant barriers against water leakage. Our housings undergo pressure testing to 150 percent of rated capacity to ensure long-term reliability even under thermal cycling and water hammer conditions.
Quick Membrane Replacement
Tool-free quick connect versions and easy-twist caps reduce membrane change time from 20 minutes to under 5 minutes. Clear housing markings and color-coded O-rings guide proper reassembly to prevent installation errors and ensure optimal performance.
Universal Compatibility
Standard port sizing and membrane dimensions ensure compatibility with major RO membrane brands including Filmtec, Pentair, and Hydronix. This interchangeability protects your investment and provides flexibility when upgrading or replacing system components.
NSF Certified Materials
All housings are manufactured from FDA-approved, BPA-free materials that meet NSF/ANSI Standard 58 for drinking water treatment components. These certifications guarantee that no harmful chemicals leach into your purified water during normal operation and storage.
