APEC RO-PH90 filter FAQ
What filters does the APEC RO-PH90 use?
Six stages: a 5 micron sediment filter (APEC 1-SED10), two 10" carbon blocks (23-CAB10), a 90 GPD membrane (MEM-90), a 10" inline GAC post-filter with ¼" quick-connects (5-TCR-QC) and a 10" inline calcite pH+ filter (FI-PHPLUS-QC).
How is the RO-PH90 different from the RO-90?
The RO-PH90 adds a sixth stage: the FI-PHPLUS-QC calcite filter that adds calcium back for a higher pH. Stages 1 to 5 are the same type of filter, and APEC lists the MEM-90 membrane and 5-TCR-QC post-filter for both systems.
How often should I change the pH+ filter?
APEC says to replace the FI-PHPLUS-QC every 6 to 12 months. Change the sediment and carbon filters on the same schedule, and the membrane every 2 to 3 years or when water quality drops.
Can I use a 100 GPD membrane instead of the 90 GPD MEM-90?
Yes. The PureT TFCK-1812-100 is a standard 1812 thin-film element that fits the same membrane housing. Your actual output still depends on water pressure and temperature. Questions? Call (714) 541-6600.
