NU Aqua Platinum 6-Stage Alkaline filter FAQ
What filters does the NU Aqua Platinum 6-stage alkaline use?
Six stages: a 1 micron sediment filter, a HydraCoil GAC filter, a coconut carbon block (all 10" × 2.5"), a 100 GPD TFC membrane, an inline T33 coconut carbon post-filter and an alkaline remineralization filter. The system uses ¼" tubing.
What replaces the NU Aqua alkaline filter?
NU Aqua's alkaline stage uses mixed mineral media to add minerals and raise pH. Our PureTopia IL-10SC-AK-EZ14 is a 10" × 2" alkaline inline filter (Corosex, calcite and mineral ceramic balls) with ¼" quick-connects.
How often should I change the filters?
NU Aqua recommends changing stages 1 to 3 every 6 to 9 months. Change the post-carbon and alkaline filter about once a year. The membrane usually lasts 1 to 3 years.
Do the 5-stage and 6-stage NU Aqua use the same filters?
