Bluonics 5-Stage RO filter FAQ
What filters does the Bluonics 5-stage RO use?
Stage 1 is a sediment filter, stage 2 is granular carbon (GAC) and stage 3 is a carbon block. All three are 10" × 2.5". Stage 4 is a 50 GPD membrane and stage 5 is a 2" × 10" GAC inline post-filter.
How often should I change the filters?
Bluonics' 4-year kit includes four sets of pre-filters, two post-filters and one membrane. That works out to pre-filters about once a year, the post-filter about every two years, and the membrane when output or taste drops. Change the pre-filters sooner on well water.
Does the Bluonics booster pump model use the same filters?
Yes. Bluonics sells its 5-stage system with and without a booster pump, and both use the same 10" filter layout and a 50 GPD membrane. The pump itself is not a filter.
My post-filter has threaded ends. Which one do I buy?
If your inline has push-in ¼" tubing ends, use the quick-connect version. If it has screw-in elbows, use the ¼" female NPT version and move your elbows over. Call (714) 541-6600 if unsure.
