What filters does the Olympia OROS-50 use?
Five stages: a 5 micron sediment filter (OROS-PRESF), two 5 micron coconut carbon blocks (OROS-PRECB), a 50 GPD membrane (OROS-ROM50) and a coconut carbon inline post-filter (OROS-POST) with ¼" quick-connects. The pre-filters are standard 10" × 2.5".
How often should I change OROS-50 filters?
Olympia says to change stages 1 to 3 every 6 to 12 months and the post-filter every 2,500 gallons. The membrane lasts 2 to 3 years, depending on how well the pre-filters are kept up.
What is the difference between the OROS-50 and OROS-80?
Only the membrane. The OROS-50 uses a 50 GPD membrane and the OROS-80 uses an 80 GPD membrane. All other filters are the same. The OROS-75 has its own filter page.
Does the inline post-filter push in or screw in?
The OROS-50 uses push-in ¼" quick-connect fittings on the post-filter. That is why we link the ¼" quick-connect version of the set and inline. If yours has threads, call (714) 541-6600.
