What filters does the Krystal Pure KR10 use?
Four stages in three 10" canisters plus a membrane: a sediment pre-filter, a carbon pre-filter, the RO membrane, and a carbon block post-filter. Our KR10/KR15 combo has one 5 micron sediment, two carbon blocks and a 50 GPD membrane.
Do the KR10 and KR15 take the same filters?
Yes. Both use standard 10" × 2.5" cartridges for sediment, pre-carbon and post-carbon, so the same set fits both.
Does the Krystal Pure use an inline post-filter?
No. The final carbon stage sits in the third 10" canister, so you replace it with a standard 10" carbon block, not an inline tube filter.
How often should I change Krystal Pure filters?
Change the sediment and carbon cartridges every 6 to 12 months. The membrane usually lasts 2 to 3 years. Change sooner if flow drops or the taste changes. Questions? Call (714) 541-6600.
