System Compatibility
The Valuetrex VX Series 10" x 2.5" sediment filter is designed for use in standard 10-inch filter housings, including RO system pre-filtration stages and whole-house sediment filtration applications. This filter should be installed as the first stage in reverse osmosis systems or before UV sterilizers to prevent sediment from shielding bacteria and reducing UV effectiveness. Suitable for both municipal and well water sources. The smaller 2.5-inch diameter makes it ideal for point-of-use systems, under-sink RO units, and compact whole-house installations where space is limited. Replace every 6-12 months depending on sediment load and water quality.
💧 Always use sediment filtration before UV or membrane filtration stages. Particles in unfiltered water create shadows that protect microorganisms from UV light and can permanently damage RO membranes.
