Works With Standard 2.5" x 40" Cartridges
The SV2540.1 housing accepts any 2.5" diameter filter cartridge up to 40" in length, including sediment filters, carbon blocks, pleated polyester, string-wound, melt-blown polypropylene, and specialty media cartridges. Common applications include pre-filtration for reverse osmosis systems, process water filtration, food and beverage production, and general commercial water treatment.
Filter Replacement Schedule
Sediment Pre-Filters
Replace 5-20 micron sediment cartridges based on incoming water quality and pressure drop across the housing.
Carbon Block Filters
Replace activated carbon cartridges when chlorine breakthrough occurs or based on gallons processed per manufacturer specifications.
Housing Inspection
Inspect o-rings and sealing surfaces during filter changes. Clean vessel interior if sediment buildup is present.
