INSTALLATION & USE
How to Use the Filter Wrench
- Turn off water supply to the filter housing and relieve pressure by pressing the red pressure relief button on top of the housing.
- Place the full circle wrench around the housing sump, ensuring the teeth engage with the housing ridges for a secure grip.
- Turn the wrench counterclockwise to loosen the housing. Use steady pressure rather than sudden force to avoid thread damage.
- Once loosened, remove the wrench and unscrew the housing by hand. Replace the filter cartridge and hand-tighten the housing back onto the cap.

Housing Compatibility
The PureT WR-6W wrench is compatible with all standard 10" and 20" filter housings designed for 2.5" diameter cartridges, including models from Watts, Pentek, GE, Culligan, Omnifilter, and most other major brands. This tool works with both clear and opaque housings that feature standard external ridges. Not recommended for slim-line housings or those with smooth exterior surfaces.
