The Omnipure CSM5651 is a 5-micron carbon block filter engineered for SQC and WFS compatible reverse osmosis systems, primarily 3M Purification and Water Factory Systems models. This sanitary quick-change filter combines sediment reduction with chlorine and taste/odor removal in a compact 13.5" x 2.5" cartridge that installs with a simple quarter-turn twist.

INSTALLATION & USE
Filter Replacement Process
- Shut off water supply to the RO system and relieve system pressure by opening the faucet until water stops flowing.
- Locate the post-filter housing in your under-sink RO system. Twist the old CSM5651 cartridge counterclockwise one quarter turn and pull straight down to remove.
- Insert the new CSM5651 filter into the housing, aligning the cartridge tabs with the housing slots. Push up firmly and twist clockwise one quarter turn until locked in place.
- Turn water supply back on and flush the new filter by running water through the system for 5 minutes before use to remove any carbon fines.
COMPATIBILITY
System Compatibility
The Omnipure CSM5651 is designed as a direct replacement for Water Factory Systems, 3M Purification, and 3M Water Filtration reverse osmosis systems that use the SQC (Sanitary Quick Change) filter format. This includes systems originally equipped with 3M CUNO cartridges such as the 47-55710G2. The proprietary quick-change design ensures compatibility only with systems specifically designed for this cartridge style, typically found in under-sink RO installations from the early 2000s to mid-2010s.
🔧 Pro Tip: Mark your calendar or set a phone reminder when you install a new CSM5651. Post-filters like this one are often forgotten because they're hidden under the sink, but replacing them every 6-12 months prevents off-taste breakthrough and protects your final drinking water quality even when the RO membrane is still performing well.
