COMPATIBILITY

System Requirements

The FXB20CL2 fits all standard 20" x 4.5" Big Blue filter housings with a 1" or 1.5" NPT port configuration. This filter is designed for whole-house chlorinated municipal water systems, commercial applications, and well water installations where chlorine taste and odor removal is required alongside sediment filtration. The GreenBlock's coconut shell carbon offers higher micropore density than coal-based alternatives, making it particularly effective for chlorine and VOC reduction in high-flow residential and light commercial settings.

🔧 Pro Tip: Coconut shell carbon blocks like the FXB20CL2 perform best when inlet water temperature stays below 100°F. If you're installing on a hot water line or in a location with high ambient temperatures, consider adding a pre-filter sediment stage to extend the GreenBlock's working life and maintain consistent chlorine reduction throughout its 34,000 gallon capacity.
