Where This Fitting Works
The John Guest acetal union connector is engineered for potable water lines, reverse osmosis systems, refrigerator ice makers, taps, toilets, and appliance connections. Its food-grade acetal construction also makes it suitable for beverage dispensing, CO2 gas lines for carbonation systems, pneumatic air lines, and vacuum applications. The push-fit design eliminates the need for tools during installation—simply push the tubing fully into the fitting until seated, and the collet automatically grips and seals. To disconnect, press the collet toward the fitting body and pull the tube free. Acetal offers significantly better heat and chemical resistance than polypropylene alternatives, making it the preferred choice for demanding commercial and residential water filtration installations.
