COMPATIBILITY
Thread & Tubing Compatibility
This John Guest acetal fitting is designed exclusively for 7/16" Unified Special (UNS) faucet threads, which are standard on most residential and commercial drinking water faucets. It accepts John Guest tubing in compatible sizes and is not compatible with NPT (National Pipe Thread) or BSP (British Standard Pipe) connections. Suitable for use with copper, plastic, and PEX tubing when paired with appropriate John Guest tube inserts and cutting tools.
🔧 Pro Tip: UNS threads are not tapered like NPT threads and should never be forced or over-tightened. Hand-tight is sufficient for a leak-free seal with the integrated O-ring.
