This 10"x4.5" cartridge fits all standard Big Blue filter housings designed for 10-inch length cartridges with 4.5-inch outer diameter. Commonly used in whole house sediment filtration systems, well water treatment, and as pre-filtration upstream of reverse osmosis membranes, carbon blocks, or UV sterilizers. The grooved end caps provide secure seating and prevent bypass. Change-out frequency depends on sediment load—typically every 3 to 6 months in residential whole house applications, more frequently in high-sediment well water or industrial settings.
