Where This Filter Works Best
The Hydronix SDC Series fits any standard 10" x 2.5" filter housing and is commonly used as stage 1 pre-filtration in reverse osmosis systems, protecting membranes from sediment damage. It also functions effectively in whole-house water filter systems to remove sand, silt, rust, and scale particles. Available in 1, 5, and 20 micron ratings to match your water quality and filtration requirements. Choose 20 micron for heavy sediment loads, 5 micron for general residential use, or 1 micron for polishing applications or post-GAC filtration.
💧 Replace sediment filters every 3-6 months or sooner if you notice pressure drop or flow reduction. A clogged sediment filter forces your pump to work harder and can shorten the life of downstream carbon blocks and RO membranes.
