Conductivity Testing Process
One-Point Manual Calibration
Submerge the electrode tip in HI 70031 calibration solution and adjust the side trimmer for accurate baseline readings. Simple manual calibration maintains measurement precision over time.
Graphite Sensor Detection
The HI 73303 probe uses non-oxidizing graphite sensors to measure electrical conductivity with better repeatability than traditional metal electrodes. The redesigned casing allows air bubbles to escape for consistent contact with the sample.
Automatic Temperature Adjustment
The exposed temperature sensor provides fast response time and automatic compensation from 0-50°C. This ensures accurate conductivity readings regardless of sample temperature variations in the field or lab.
Large LCD Readout
The enlarged LCD screen displays measurements with 0.01 µS/cm resolution up to 20,000 µS/cm full scale. Clear readability and improved ergonomics make the DiST4 easier to hold and read during testing.

Application Range
The HI98304 DiST4 is designed for measuring electro-conductivity in drinking water, RO permeate, aquarium systems, hydroponics, and general water quality testing where total dissolved solids monitoring is required. The 0-20,000 µS/cm range covers most freshwater applications, from ultra-pure RO output to moderately mineralized tap water. Use HI 70031 calibration solution for periodic verification and the HI 73303 replacement probe when needed to maintain measurement accuracy over time.
