The CSM RE8040-BLN replaces any standard 8040 format membrane in commercial reverse osmosis systems. Compatible with housings designed for Toray, Dow Filmtec, Hydranautics, CSM, and LG membranes. Commonly used in multi-stage RO arrays for restaurants, car washes, bottling plants, greenhouse irrigation, and commercial drinking water systems. Suitable for brackish groundwater and municipal tap water sources with TDS between 500 and 10,000 ppm.
Replacement schedule for optimal performance
Replace Membrane
Replace the CSM RE8040-BLN membrane element every two years under normal operating conditions, or sooner if permeate flow drops 15% or TDS rejection falls below acceptable levels.
Chemical Cleaning
Clean membrane with approved RO cleaning solutions when differential pressure increases by 15% or normalized permeate flow decreases by 10%. Frequency depends on feed water quality.
Performance Monitoring
Log feed pressure, permeate flow, permeate TDS, and temperature monthly to establish baseline performance and detect fouling or scaling before damage occurs.
