Aquajet 5800 Variable-Speed Delivery Pump
A pressure-sensing motor controller holds discharge pressure steady and varies pump speed with demand — smooth, near-constant delivery instead of the on-off cycling of a switched pump.
A standard demand pump runs flat out until its pressure switch trips, then stops. The Aquajet instead reads discharge pressure continuously and modulates motor speed to hold it, delivering up to 1.36 GPM at a regulated setpoint with far less pulsation and cycling. That matters most where flow is drawn slowly or intermittently — beverage dispensing, drinking water delivery, and any run where a cycling pump would be audible or would hammer the line.
Two Regulated Setpoints
| Part Number | Regulated pressure | Max flow | Ports | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 5853-GB12-V81D | 40 PSI | Up to 1.36 GPM | 3/8" | Lower-pressure dispensing and equipment with a 40 PSI inlet limit |
| 5853-GE12-V81D | 60 PSI | Up to 1.36 GPM | 3/8" | Standard drinking water delivery at typical household pressure |
Reading the part number: the G marks the Aquajet variable-speed controller. The letter after it is the regulated pressure — B = 40 PSI, E = 60 PSI. Both are factory set. Maximum inlet pressure is 60 PSI, and positive inlet pressure raises the flow available at the regulated discharge pressure.
What the Controller Changes
Pressure-Sensing Speed Control
Motor speed varies with demand to hold the regulated setpoint, rather than switching hard on and off at a pressure threshold.
Low Pulsation
A 3.5 degree cam and three-chamber head, combined with speed control, keep pulsation and noise well below a switched pump at the same flow.
Continuous Duty
Stays inside Aquatec's continuous-operation band across its full pressure range. No forced cool-down cycle.
Ready to Plug In
115 VAC motor with a 6 foot power cord fitted and EMI/RFI noise suppression built into the controller.
Beverage-Grade Materials
Polypropylene pump housings with NSF or FDA listed wetted materials, EPDM valves, Santoprene diaphragm, aluminium controller housing.
9 ft Priming, Dry-Run Safe
Self-priming to 9 feet of lift and undamaged by running dry if a tank empties.
Where This Pump Belongs
Beverage and drinking water delivery, carbonated and still water dispensers, coffee and espresso equipment, RO storage tank delivery over long runs, and recirculation duty where steady pressure matters more than peak flow. Specified where the cycling of a conventional demand pump would be audible in a customer-facing space or would disturb a downstream process.
Verified Factory Data
| Motor | 115 VAC permanent magnet, totally enclosed, non-ventilated; 18 AWG, 6 ft power cord |
| Pressure controller | Pressure-sensing motor controller, factory set (40 PSI or 60 PSI by model) |
| Thermal protection | Thermal protector limits motor shell to 145°F (63°C) |
| Pump design | 3-chamber diaphragm pump, self-priming, can be run dry; 3.5 degree cam |
| Certification | NSF/ANSI Standard 58 |
| Pump housings | Polypropylene |
| Controller housing | Aluminium |
| Valves / diaphragm | EPDM / Santoprene |
| Fasteners | Stainless steel |
| Priming | 9 feet |
| Maximum inlet pressure | 60 PSI |
| Maximum liquid temperature | 140°F (60°C) |
| Ports | Push-to-connect for 3/8" tubing |
| Weight | 6 lbs |
Note the temperature limit: the Aquajet is rated to 140°F maximum liquid temperature, lower than the 170°F of the standard 5800 range, because of its polypropylene housings. Do not substitute it into a hot-water application specified for a standard 5800.
