This is the CBPA composite pre-filter for the Aero·RO S9 tankless reverse osmosis system. It handles the first three stages of the S9's filtration in a single cartridge, combining sediment and carbon layers that capture rust, sand, and silt and reduce chlorine taste and odor before water reaches the RO membrane. A fresh pre-filter keeps your water tasting clean and is the best protection you can give the membrane downstream.

💡Don't stretch the pre-filter. A clogged pre-filter slows flow, and a spent carbon layer lets chlorine reach the RO membrane, which shortens its life. Swapping the CBPA on time is far cheaper than replacing the membrane early.

REPLACEMENT

Swapping the Cartridge

  1. Turn off the feed water to the S9 and open the RO faucet to relieve pressure.
  2. Twist the CBPA cartridge to unlock it and pull it straight out of the unit.
  3. Push the new CBPA cartridge into the same port and twist until it locks.
  4. Turn the water back on, check for leaks, and reset the filter life indicator per the S9 manual.
  5. Run the RO faucet for a few minutes to flush fine carbon from the new cartridge.
