INSTALLATION & USE
Cartridge Replacement Process
- Shut off water supply and relieve pressure by opening a downstream faucet
- Unscrew housing using a filter wrench, remove old cartridge, and clean sump with mild soap
- Remove shrink wrap from new cartridge and insert into housing, ensuring proper seating
- Lubricate o-ring with food-grade silicone grease and hand-tighten housing back onto cap
- Turn water supply on slowly, check for leaks, and flush system for 3-5 minutes before use

Housing & System Fitment
This 10" x 4.5" full flow sediment cartridge fits most standard whole-house filter housings with 4.5" diameter sumps, including brands like Pentek, Culligan, GE, DuPont, Omnifilter, and generic 10-inch Big Blue systems. The larger 4.5" diameter provides higher flow capacity compared to standard 2.5" cartridges, making it ideal for whole-house applications, well water pretreatment, and aquarium supply lines where sediment load is moderate to heavy.
🔧 Pro tip: Mark your calendar when you install a new cartridge. If you notice pressure drop or discolored water before the 4-6 month mark, your sediment load is heavier than average and you should shorten replacement intervals accordingly.
