Vertex PT-4.0 filter FAQ
What filters does the Vertex PT-4.0 use?
Four stages: a 5 micron sediment cartridge and a 5 micron carbon block (both 2.5" × 9.75", the standard 10" size), a 36 GPD Filmtec RO membrane and a 2" × 10" inline GAC post-filter. Vertex sells the three filters as kit FK-100.
Does the 3-filter kit include the membrane?
No. The kit has the sediment, carbon block and inline post-filter. Add the TFCK-1812-35 membrane when the membrane is due.
How often should I change the filters on a Vertex PT-4.0?
Change the sediment, carbon and inline post-filter every 6 to 12 months. The membrane lasts about 2 years. Change sooner if flow drops or the water tastes off.
My post-filter has push-in quick-connect ends, not threads. What do I buy?
The IPW AICRO has ¼" female NPT threads, so you move your fittings over. If your post-filter has built-in quick-connects, use the Hydronix ICF-10Q instead, or call (714) 541-6600 and we will match it.
