Assess Installation Space
Measure the available vertical and horizontal clearance at your installation point, accounting for extra room needed to remove the sump during cartridge changes. Standard 20-inch housings require approximately 24 inches of clearance below the cap.
Match Thread Connections
Verify your existing plumbing connections and select housings with compatible NPT thread sizes. Common residential sizes include 3/4-inch and 1-inch NPT, while commercial applications may require 1.5-inch or 2-inch ports for adequate flow.
