Filter Housings
Professional Water Filtration
Standard Filter Housing Solutions
Durable, versatile housings engineered for residential and commercial water treatment systems
Standard filter housings provide the foundation for effective whole-home and point-of-use water filtration systems, offering reliable protection against sediment, chlorine, and other contaminants. These robust housings accommodate industry-standard cartridges and deliver consistent performance across residential and light commercial applications.
Housing Categories
Choose Your Configuration
Full-Size Standard Housing
Traditional 20-inch housings with 3/4" NPT ports deliver maximum flow rates and extended cartridge life for whole-house applications. Available with integrated mounting brackets and pressure release valves for safe, convenient filter changes.
Compact 10-Inch Housing
Space-saving 10-inch housings fit standard cartridges while maintaining professional-grade construction. Perfect for under-sink installations, RV systems, and point-of-use applications where space is at a premium.
Slim Line Housing
Ultra-compact slim housings accommodate 2.5-inch diameter cartridges for targeted filtration in tight spaces, providing efficient sediment and carbon filtration without the bulk of standard-diameter housings.
Selection Process
How to Choose the Right Housing
Determine Flow Requirements
Calculate your peak water demand in gallons per minute to ensure the housing size and port diameter can support your household or facility needs. Larger ports and longer housings provide higher flow rates with minimal pressure drop.
Assess Installation Space
Measure the available vertical and horizontal clearance at your installation point, accounting for extra room needed to remove the sump during cartridge changes. Standard 20-inch housings require approximately 24 inches of clearance below the cap.
Match Thread Connections
Verify your existing plumbing connections and select housings with compatible NPT thread sizes. Common residential sizes include 3/4-inch and 1-inch NPT, while commercial applications may require 1.5-inch or 2-inch ports.
Installation Tip: Always install a bypass valve around your filter housing to maintain water service during cartridge changes and enable easy system maintenance without shutting down your entire water supply.
Pressure-Tested Construction
Engineered to withstand continuous operating pressures up to 125 PSI with reinforced sump designs that resist cracking and UV-stabilized materials.
Universal Cartridge Compatibility
Accept any industry-standard 2.5-inch or 4.5-inch diameter cartridge, giving you flexibility to customize filtration media based on changing water quality needs.
Integrated Safety Features
Built-in pressure release buttons allow safe depressurization before opening the housing, while reinforced O-ring grooves ensure reliable seals through thousands of filter change cycles.
Professional-Grade Materials
Constructed from FDA-compliant, BPA-free polymers that meet NSF standards for potable water contact, resisting corrosion and thermal stress throughout years of continuous service.
