INSTALLATION & USE

Replacing Your Carbon Block Filter

  1. Turn off water supply and relieve system pressure by opening a faucet downstream of the filter housing
  2. Unscrew the filter housing using a wrench, remove the old carbon block cartridge, and clean the housing with mild soap and water
  3. Inspect the O-ring for wear and lubricate with food-grade silicone grease before installing the new PureT CBC Series filter
  4. Hand-tighten the housing until snug, turn water supply back on, and check for leaks
  5. Flush the new carbon block filter for 5 minutes to remove any residual carbon fines before normal use
COMPATIBILITY

System Compatibility

The PureT CBC Series 10" x 2.5" filter fits any standard 10-inch filter housing with 2.5-inch diameter capacity. Compatible with most Reverse Osmosis systems as a pre-filter or post-filter stage, and suitable for whole-house filtration when multiple housings are used. Works with residential under-sink systems, commercial food service equipment, and industrial water treatment applications. Verify your housing accepts 10" x 2.5" cartridges and select the appropriate micron rating (1 or 5 micron) based on your water quality needs.

🔧 Pro tip: Replace carbon block filters every 6-12 months depending on water quality and usage volume. If you notice a drop in flow rate or return of chlorine taste before the replacement interval, change the filter early—the carbon's adsorption capacity may be exhausted even if the filter looks clean.
