INSTALLATION & USE

Replacing Your QCRO Carbon Filter

  1. Turn off the water supply to your RO system and relieve system pressure by opening the faucet until water stops flowing.
  2. Twist the existing carbon block filter counterclockwise to unlock and pull straight down to remove from the filter head.
  3. Align the new Hydrotech 41407002 cartridge with the filter head, push up firmly, and twist clockwise until it locks into place.
  4. Turn the water supply back on and check for leaks. Run water through the system for 5 minutes to flush the new carbon block before use.

System Compatibility

The Hydrotech 41407002 QCRO carbon block cartridge is designed specifically for Hydrotech Pura QCRO and QCUF quick-change reverse osmosis systems. This filter uses a proprietary quick-change connection and is not compatible with standard 10-inch or 20-inch filter housings. Always verify your system model before ordering to ensure proper fit.

🔧 Pro Tip: Replace your carbon prefilter every 6-12 months even if water flow seems normal. A saturated carbon block may still pass water but will no longer protect your RO membrane from chlorine damage, which can lead to costly membrane replacement.
