How It Works
Three-Stage Installation Process
Remove Existing Showerhead
Unscrew your current showerhead from the shower arm by turning counterclockwise. Clean any old thread tape or debris from the shower arm threads to ensure a proper seal with the new filter housing.
Install Filter Housing
Wrap the shower arm threads with plumber's tape in a clockwise direction. Hand-tighten the filter housing onto the shower arm, then secure with a quarter turn using a wrench. Ensure the housing points downward and aligns properly.
Attach Showerhead and Test
Connect your showerhead to the bottom of the filter housing. Turn on the water and check all connections for leaks. Run water for two minutes to flush the new filter cartridge and activate the filtration media before your first shower.
Replacement Schedule: Change your shower filter cartridge every six to nine months depending on water quality and household usage. If you notice decreased water pressure or a return of chlorine odor, replace the cartridge sooner.
