How to choose valves
Auto shut-off saves water. The ASO valve stops the RO when the tank is full — a failed one runs water to drain constantly.
Protect with a PLV. A pressure-limiting valve caps incoming pressure (like 50 PSI) to protect membranes and fittings from spikes.
Add service valves. Inline ball valves let you isolate the system for cartridge changes without shutting off the house.
Match connection type. Quick-connect vs. threaded — match the valve to your existing tubing and fittings.
