Four-Stage Filtration Process
5-Micron Sediment Pre-Filter
The WP105311 sediment cartridge traps dirt, rust, and silt particles down to 5 microns, protecting the RO membrane from fouling and extending system life. This stage improves water clarity and removes suspended solids before chemical filtration.
5-Micron Carbon Block Filter
The WP105351 carbon block reduces chlorine, chloramines, and organic chemicals that affect taste and odor. This stage conditions water for the RO membrane while removing volatile organic compounds and improving overall water quality.
50 GPD RO Membrane
The WP105331 thin-film composite membrane removes total dissolved solids, lead, arsenic, nitrates, fluoride, and heavy metals. This stage reduces over 99.95% of cysts including Giardia and Cryptosporidium, producing up to 50 gallons per day of purified water.
Post-Carbon Filter
The WP105341 final polishing filter removes any residual taste or odor as water leaves the storage tank. This stage ensures crisp, clean taste at the faucet by capturing any compounds picked up during storage.
System Requirements & Performance
Installation & Application
The RO-4 system is designed for residential under-sink installation on municipal or well water sources with pressure between 40 and 100 psi. Feed water should have TDS below 1800 ppm, turbidity under 5 NTU, and iron content no greater than 0.2 ppm. The included chrome air-gap faucet prevents backflow contamination and meets plumbing code requirements. Compact 4-inch depth allows installation in tight spaces where standard RO systems will not fit.
