Watts-FPP-0.2-20-222 Flowmax HP 222F (Fin) Pleated Filter 0.2 Micron 20 in
$284.82
The Watts FPP-0.2-20-222 Flowmax HP is a 20-inch pleated sediment filter with 0.2 micron filtration, engineered for high-purity water applications where bacteria and fine particulate removal matter. Built with 100% polypropylene media and 222 fin end caps, this filter delivers superior flow rates and dirt-holding capacity compared to standard wound or spun alternatives.

INSTALLATION & USE
Installing Your Flowmax HP Filter
- Shut off water supply and relieve system pressure by opening a downstream faucet
- Unscrew the Flowmax housing sump using a filter wrench and remove the old cartridge
- Insert the new FPP-0.2-20-222 filter with the 222 fin end cap seated properly in the housing cap
- Replace the sump, hand-tighten, then slowly restore water pressure and check for leaks
- Flush the filter for 3-5 minutes before use to clear any manufacturing residue
COMPATIBILITY
System Fit & Applications
This 20-inch filter is designed for Watts Flowmax filter housings that accept 222 fin-style end caps. The 0.2 micron rating makes it suitable for reverse osmosis pre-filtration, whole-house high-purity applications, food and beverage processing, and any system where bacterial reduction and ultra-fine sediment removal are required. The pleated design offers significantly more surface area than conventional cartridges, extending service life and reducing pressure drop under flow.
🔧 Pro Tip: Monitor your pressure gauge and replace the filter when differential pressure reaches 25-30 psid, rather than waiting for the maximum 35 psid. This maintains optimal flow rates and protects downstream components like RO membranes from fouling.
