The Puregen AIC-RO10-XD is a granular activated carbon inline filter designed specifically as the final polishing stage in reverse osmosis systems. Its loose coconut shell carbon removes residual chlorine, off-tastes, and odors that can persist even after membrane filtration, while the 10 micron rating catches fine particulate that might shed from upstream filters.

This inline filter fits any system with 1/4" NPT female fittings, most commonly used as the post-carbon stage in under-sink RO systems like Kemflo and GTS models. It also works in standalone applications for refrigerators, icemakers, drinking fountains, and water coolers where final carbon polishing is needed. Note that 1/4" NPT threads measure approximately 0.540" in actual diameter, not 0.25" as the nominal sizing suggests.
