COMPATIBILITY & APPLICATIONS

Where This Housing Fits

The W892 Series housing accepts any standard 10" x 2.5" cartridge, including sediment filters, carbon block filters, and specialty media like catalytic carbon or KDF. It's commonly used as a pre-filter ahead of reverse osmosis membranes to protect against sediment and chlorine, or as a post-filter stage for polishing. The compact slim profile works in tight under-sink cabinets, and the 1/4" NPT ports integrate easily with quick-connect fittings or threaded adapters. Because there's no pressure release button, you'll need to shut off water and relieve pressure manually before unscrewing the sump for cartridge changes. This housing is built for residential drinking water systems, but it's also suitable for commercial beverage prep, coffee machines, and light foodservice applications where point-of-use filtration is required.

💧 Pro tip: Before removing the sump, always turn off the water supply and open a downstream faucet to release pressure. Without a built-in pressure release button, skipping this step can result in a spray of water when you unscrew the housing.
