This cartridge fits standard 10-inch filter housings and is ideal for under-sink filtration systems, countertop filter units, inline refrigerator filters, and as a pre-filter or post-filter stage in reverse osmosis setups. The silver-treated granular activated carbon is particularly effective in low-flow applications where taste and odor removal is the priority. It works with most brands of 10-inch housings that accept 2.75-inch diameter cartridges, including Watts, Pentek, Culligan, and other industry-standard systems. Best performance is achieved when water pressure is between 20 and 125 PSI and temperature stays below 100°F.
💧 Pro Tip: Replace GAC cartridges every 6 months or 2,500 gallons, whichever comes first. If you notice a return of chlorine taste or smell before the recommended interval, replace the cartridge early—it means the activated carbon sites are saturated and no longer adsorbing contaminants effectively.
