INSTALLATION & USE
Setup & Maintenance
- Turn off water supply and relieve pressure from your filter housing before opening
- Remove old cartridge, clean housing sump with mild soap, inspect o-ring for wear
- Insert new GAC cartridge into housing and hand-tighten sump until secure
- Turn water supply back on slowly and flush 5-10 gallons through the system to remove carbon fines and trapped air
- Replace cartridge every 3-4 months or when you notice reduced flow or taste changes

🔧 Black carbon fines are normal when first installing GAC cartridges. Always flush 5-10 gallons before use—run an outdoor spigot or bathtub until water runs completely clear to avoid temporary cloudiness at kitchen and bathroom taps.
