INSTALLATION & USE
Installing Your UltraCarb Candle
- Verify your filter housing has female threads inside the top cap, as this candle requires threaded mounting on one end.
- Remove existing filter if present, rinse housing with clean water, and hand-tighten the W9512500 candle into the threaded socket until snug.
- Flush the new candle by running 2-3 full cycles of water through the system before consumption to remove any carbon fines or manufacturing residue.
- Clean the ceramic surface every 3-6 months by removing the candle and gently scrubbing with a soft brush or non-abrasive pad under running water.
COMPATIBILITY
System Compatibility
The AquaCera UltraCarb W9512500 is designed for Doulton gravity filter systems and any housing with a female threaded socket in the upper cap. The 1/4" threaded end and 10-inch length are standard for many countertop and under-sink ceramic systems. This candle will not fit housings that require compression fittings, push-in mounts, or housings without internal threading. Verify your system's mounting style before ordering.
🔧 After cleaning the ceramic surface, you may notice the candle diameter is slightly reduced. This is normal wear and indicates the outer filtration layer is being properly maintained. Replace the candle when cleaning no longer restores flow rate or when the ceramic becomes too thin to handle safely.
