INSTALLATION & USE
How to Install the BV-104 Ball Valve
- Wrap the 1/4" NPTM threads with 2-3 layers of Teflon tape in a clockwise direction, avoiding the first thread.
- Thread the valve into the corresponding female NPT port hand-tight, then use a wrench to tighten an additional quarter to half turn until snug.
- Push 1/4" O.D. tubing firmly into the quick-connect end until it seats against the internal stop and the collet grips securely.
- Turn the valve handle to the open or closed position as needed to control water flow through your system.
COMPATIBILITY
System Integration
The PureT BV-104 works with all standard 1/4" quick-connect tubing used in reverse osmosis systems, inline filters, and point-of-use drinking water equipment. The polypropylene construction provides excellent resistance to chlorine, sediment, and common oxidizers found in municipal water supplies. Compatible with C.C.K., John Guest, and other industry-standard quick-connect fittings and tubing.
🔧 Pro Tip: Install ball valves before filters and membranes to isolate components during cartridge changes without shutting down your entire water supply. Keep the valve handle perpendicular to the tubing for closed, parallel for open.
