The high-quality construction reduces the need for frequent replacements, and the effective filtration performance helps to maintain the overall health of your water system.

Before beginning the installation, ensure that the water supply is turned off and the area is clean and accessible. Gather all necessary tools and components, including the PBH-410 filter bag vessel assembly, filter bags, and any required plumbing fittings.

Securely mount the Pentek PBH-410 in a suitable location. It is recommended to position the filter vessel vertically to ensure optimal performance. Use the provided mounting hardware to fix the vessel in place, ensuring that it is stable and properly aligned.

Attach the inlet and outlet connections to the filter vessel. Use Teflon tape or pipe sealant on the threads to ensure a leak-free connection. Tighten the connections securely, but avoid over-tightening, which could damage the threads or the filter vessel.Open the filter vessel by unscrewing the top cover. Insert the appropriate 10-inch filter bag into the vessel, ensuring that it is properly positioned and secured. The filter bag should fit snugly within the vessel, with no gaps or misalignment.Replace the top cover of the filter vessel and tighten it securely. Be cautious not to over-tighten, as this could affect the performance of the vessel or damage the components.Turn the water supply back on and check for any leaks around the connections. Run water through the system to ensure that the filter vessel is functioning correctly and that the filter bag is properly seated. Monitor the system for any signs of leaks or issues, and address them promptly if they arise.

This Pentek 150360 PBH-410-1 1" #10 bag vessel assembly is suitable for low flow rate residential, commercial, and industrial applications. The sump, cap, basket, vent plug, and drain plug are made of polypropylene for strength and resistance to chemicals and corrosion. The cap has a single large Acme thread closure for quick opening and secure closure, 1" female National Pipe Thread Taper (NPT) threaded input and output connections, and a nitrile butadiene rubber (Buna-N) O-ring to ensure a watertight seal. The drain plug has a polyvinyl chloride (PVC) ball valve with Buna-N seals. This housing can be used with standard 4" x 8-1/4" filter bags (sold separately). It has an initial pressure drop of 1 pound per square inch (psi) at a flow rate of 15 gallons per minute (gpm), a maximum operating pressure of 100 psi, and a maximum operating temperature of 100 degrees F (37.8 degrees C). This bag vessel assembly is for use in various applications, including residential drinking water purification, food service, and industrial chemical filtration, among others.

Water filters remove undesirable particles, chemicals, and microorganisms from water by means of a semipermeable barrier, adsorption, or biological processes. They are made of densely packed synthetic or natural fibers that trap suspended particles, materials that block microbes or adsorb unwanted chemicals, or substances that cause a chemical change, such as acid neutralization. For most residential, commercial, and industrial applications, water filters are manufactured in the form of replaceable cartridges that fit inside permanent housings. Filtration systems typically consist of a series of two or more types of filters, each designed to remove different contaminants. The performance of filters is measured by the minimum particle size that is blocked, the percentage of particles or microorganisms that are removed, the downstream concentration of unwanted chemicals, the maximum flow rate, and the amount of water that can be filtered before the filter must be replaced. Water filters are used in a wide range of applications, including drinking water purification, swimming pools, industrial processes, and irrigation, among others.

Pentair manufactures industrial, commercial, and residential water filtration components and systems. The company, founded in 1966 and headquartered in Minneapolis, MN, meets International Organization for Standardization (ISO) standards 9001 and 14001 for quality assurance.
