Shop for Fleck 5600 Series Softener
Pentair Water is one of the largest suppliers of water treatment equipment including their famous Fleck 5600 Series Softener. The Fleck 5600 water softener valve is Pentair Water's most recognized vales on the market. They have been used in thousands of OEM systems because of their well known reliability and come with a 5 year manufacturer's warranty.
The 5600 Series Fleck Water Softeners use a mechanical valve that come in either a gallonage meter or a day clock timer. A Fleck 5600 meter counts the gallons used and only regenerates on demand; a Fleck 5600 clock timer counts the days passed (up to 12) before regeneration occurs. Here at Isopure Water, we only use Fleck 5600 demand meter valves because of their efficiency and their ability to conserve water when your water softener is not in high demand. Fleck 5600 Grain Water Softener capacities are available in 0.75 cubic foot (cuft) to 2.0 cuft but can also be customed to any size you wish.
Fleck 5600 Grain Water Softener to Remove Minerals & More
Water softeners are used to remove elements that cause scale build-up like Calcium and Magnesium (aka "hard water minerals"). Scale can easily be seen as white crusty film build up on faucet nozzles or cloudiness build up on glass shower doors or glass cups. Fleck 5600 water softeners remove this by running water through a media tank filled with man-made polymer resin. This resin attaches to salt ions like Sodium Chloride or Potassium Chloride until water containing hard water minerals comes into contact. The hard water minerals then exchange places on the resin and releases the salt - hence you have "soft water".
Soft water has many benefits including lowering your heating bill, reducing the amount of soap used, and giving your skin a healthier glow.
Sizing a system doesn't have to be difficult and can be done quickly. There is no real harm in under-sizing or over-sizing your system for the home; but it will cause you to use more salt and/or water per regeneration. However if you have a very large home and you do not have anyone to recommend you a sized unit, it's always best to over-size to prevent any water flow restrictions for very large homes with many bathrooms and people.
