INSTALLATION & USE
Membrane Replacement Process
- Shut off water supply to the RO system and depressurize the system by opening the faucet
- Use the half-turn mechanism on the F500398 system housing to unlock and remove the old membrane
- Remove the F110023 membrane from its dry packaging and insert into the housing with the brine seal end first
- Rotate the housing to lock the half-turn mechanism and restore water supply
- Flush the new membrane for 30 minutes before use to remove preservatives and optimize performance
COMPATIBILITY
System Requirements
This membrane is designed exclusively for use with the Watts F500398 half-turn reverse osmosis system. The proprietary half-turn housing design of the F500398 system requires this specific F110023 membrane model and is not compatible with standard drop-in membranes. Always verify your system model number before ordering replacement membranes.
🔧 Pro Tip: Mark your calendar when installing this membrane. TFC membranes typically need replacement every 2-3 years depending on source water quality, but a noticeable drop in water production or increase in TDS readings means it's time to replace regardless of age.
