INSTALLATION & USE

Replacing Your Housing O-Ring

  1. Turn off water supply and relieve system pressure before unscrewing the housing sump from your GTS Big Blue filter housing.
  2. Remove the old O-ring from the groove in the housing cap, cleaning any debris or residue from the channel with a clean cloth.
  3. Place the new FH-ORING-3BB O-ring into the groove, ensuring it sits evenly without twists or kinks around the entire circumference.
  4. Lightly lubricate the O-ring with food-grade silicone grease before threading the sump back onto the housing cap hand-tight.
  5. Restore water pressure slowly and inspect the connection for any signs of leakage before returning the system to full operation.
COMPATIBILITY

Verified Housing Fit

This O-ring is designed exclusively for Watts Intelifil GTS Big Blue housings models GTS-221, GTS-222, GTS-223, GTS-224, GTS-225, GTS-226, GTS-227, and GTS-228. It will not fit the GTS-251 or GTS-252 models, which require a different O-ring size. Always verify your housing model number before ordering to ensure proper fit and seal performance.

🔧 Pro tip: Replace your housing O-ring every 2-3 filter changes or annually, whichever comes first. Even if the old O-ring looks fine, rubber degrades over time and a new seal costs far less than water damage from a slow leak.
