Cadmium Reduction Process

PREPARATION

Sample Collection

Collect water sample in clean cuvette or test vial. Sample should be free of large particulates and at room temperature for accurate analysis.

Reagent Addition

Add HI93728-01 reagent to sample. Cadmium metal reduces nitrate to nitrite, which then reacts to form a pink-colored complex proportional to nitrate concentration.
