Filter Housings & Components
Water Filter Housing
A membrane filter housing is a pressurized container used to store membrane modules during the RO process. Currently, there are three types of membrane housings with diverse materials for water treatment on the market: FRP (fiberglass reinforced plastic), stainless steel, and PVC. The membrane housings made of FRP, stainless steel, and PVC can all function at room temperature. However, FRP membrane housing is the sole option in the most extremely cold climates. Because the FRP membrane shell's physical qualities will remain unchanged at sub-zero temperatures. Low temperatures cause membrane housings made of stainless steel or polyvinyl chloride (PVC) to become hard and brittle, reducing their durability and shortening their useful lifespan.
