Water filtration is slowly but surely eliminating the need for purchasing water bottles, as water filtration system
owners are choosing to tote around their own refillable water bottle as
they go about their day. However, even these most conscious of
consumers can be caught at a lunch or dinner where they are forced to
purchase a plastic water bottle. Plastic water bottles are usually
convenient and cheap and more often than not, ensure consumers that they
are drinking clean and purified water. However, what happens when
reports come back from select bottled water companies reporting unsafe
or unclean water?
The Environmental Working Group recently released analyzed reports
documenting bottled water companies water purity and delivering the
three best bottled water companies to buy from, as well as the six
worse. The most surprising finding in researching these companies water
supply and water filtration systems was the fact that 20 percent failed
the transparency test, another 20 refused to disclose where their water
actually came from and a whopping 32 percent refused to disclose
information on the treatment of their water.
The bottled companies documented as the six worse brands to stay away from are as follows:
Whole Foods Italian Still Mineral Water
Sahara Premium Drinking Water
Cumby's Spring Water
O Water Sport Electrolyte Enhanced Purified Drinking Water
Market Basket Natural Spring Water
Vintage Natural Spring Water
Iso Pure Water encourages
consumers to be water smart and water safe in their choices of
consuming clean water. Water filtration systems not only ensure clean
and purified water but also are eco-friendly as they keep plastic water
bottles out of landfills. If purchasing a plastic water bottle is a
must, stay away from the above six brands.
