The Omnipure Q5586 T28 GAC and Polyphosphate water filter is an "easy twist" filter. There are no tools required to remove this type of filter. The Q5586 consists of granular activated carbon used to reduce chlorine, taste and odor while the polyphosphate is used as a scale and corrosion inhibitor.
