INSTALLATION & USE
Filter Replacement Process
- Turn off water supply and relieve system pressure by opening the faucet downstream of the filter
- Rotate the existing filter counterclockwise to remove from the permanent head
- Align the new E5715-P filter with the head and rotate clockwise until hand-tight
- Turn on water supply slowly and check for leaks before returning system to normal operation
- Flush the new filter for 3-5 minutes before use to remove any carbon fines
COMPATIBILITY
System Requirements
The E5715-P is compatible with all Omnipure E-Series permanent filter heads and most standard 14" inline housing systems that accept 2.5" diameter cartridges. The universal cap design ensures compatibility across filter head generations, eliminating the need to verify head type before ordering. This filter is particularly suited for point-of-use applications where lead reduction, cyst removal, and scale prevention are priorities, including under-sink systems, ice makers, and beverage equipment.
🔧 Pro Tip: Replace the E5715-P every 6 months or at 2000 gallons, whichever comes first, to maintain lead reduction and scale inhibitor performance. Hard water areas may require more frequent changes as the polyphosphate depletes faster under high mineral loads.
