This polyphosphate cartridge uses slow-dissolving clear bead crystals to create a protective coating inside water pipes and on appliances, preventing scale formation and corrosion while sequestering iron to keep it in solution. The self-healing phosphate layer bonds to metal surfaces, stopping existing corrosion and blocking new mineral deposits from forming.

Housing Requirements
Fits standard 10-inch x 4.5-inch Big Blue filter housings from Pentek, Watts, Culligan, and other manufacturers. Direct replacement for Intelifil IF-SM-SCI010B. Install as a whole-house pre-filter or dedicated scale prevention stage in chlorinated municipal water systems. Do not use with non-chlorinated well water unless paired with UV sterilization or other bacterial control, as phosphates can promote bacterial growth in untreated water.
